To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great joy and confidence that I recommend Riley and Abby Buchalski for missionary service in Cape Town, South Africa. Riley has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the Lord’s calling since his teenage years, dedicating his life to missionary work without deviation.
Riley served for three years in youth ministry in Michigan, where his passion for guiding young souls was evident. Following this, he joined our congregation at Colonial Hills Baptist Church as a missionary intern for one year. During this time, Riley showcased an outgoing personality, a focused mindset, and an unwavering work ethic. His consistency in serving the Lord and his ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life have been truly inspiring.
Abby, his devoted wife, complements Riley’s ministry with grace and dedication. Together, they are raising their son, Wilder, instilling in him the same values of faith and service that they embody.
The Buchalskis are preparing to join an experienced and successful team of church-planting missionaries in Cape Town—a city home to approximately 4.98 million souls. Their mission is to plant churches and spread the Gospel in a region ripe for spiritual growth.
Our church is thrilled to partner with the Buchalskis in this endeavor. We believe their dedication, experience, and faith-driven approach will make a significant impact in South Africa.
Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. It would be my pleasure to discuss the Buchalskis’ qualifications and their calling further.

To Whom It May Concern,
It is a privilege to recommend Riley and Abby Buchalski for missionary service in Cape Town, South Africa. I have known Riley since his middle school years and had the joy of serving as his youth pastor throughout his time in our student ministry. Even now, many years removed from youth ministry, I still have photos of Riley and other young people pinned to the bulletin board in my office—reminders of the relationships and shared ministry moments that shaped us both. Riley has always approached life and ministry with passion.
Whether on the field in athletics or serving in the church, he consistently lives out Colossians 3:23, serving “heartily, as unto the Lord.” During his teen years, we worked side by side in vacation Bible schools, local outreach, and both domestic and international mission trips. One of my favorite memories remains serving together with Riley’s family at an orphanage in Honduras—his heart for people and the gospel was evident even then.
Since those early years, it has been a blessing to see Riley and Abby grow together in life and ministry. I met Abby shortly before they were married, and my wife and I were immediately drawn to her warm, gracious spirit. Together, Riley and Abby have proven themselves faithful in youth ministry and are now stepping forward in obedience to the Lord’s call to Cape Town.
I believe God has uniquely prepared the Buchalskis for the work of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting in South Africa. Their character, ministry experience, and gospel-driven focus are evident, and I’m confident God will use them to make an eternal impact in Cape Town. Should you have any questions or if I can provide further clarity, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I wholeheartedly support their calling and am eager to see them reach the field to which God has led them.

To Whom It May Concern,
I have been serving as a youth pastor for nearly ten years of a fairly large youth group. In this
position, I have had a number of young people serve as interns in our youth program. Riley is one of the few that truly went above and beyond in his service. Riley has a great personality and builds relationships quickly. He has an ability to connect with people, and set them at ease right out of the gate. He built many healthy relationships with teenagers in our youth group. He is the type of person that can get anyone smiling in a matter of minutes. His joy is contagious.
Riley has also been a spiritual mentor to our teenagers. Multiple times teenagers came to me with a report of how Riley had provided them with biblical counsel that had helped them make an important decision. I was always fully confident in Riley’s understanding of Scripture and his usage of it with the teenagers. In many ways, the greatest thing he taught our teenagers was his servant-minded philosophy. It would not be strange to find him cleaning up after an activity or taking out the trash. He was willing to serve in whatever way was needed.
On a personal note, I am grateful for the friendship that has come from his time serving in our youth group. Watching Riley grow spiritually and in his leadership abilities has been a great joy to me. I am grateful that I can call him a friend. I know that God is going to use him and his wife in an incredible way on the mission field.
