Riley's Ministry Experience 
Father in vocational ministry: 2007-Present 
  • I had the privilege of watching my father serve as the administrator and principal of Genesee Christian School. His modeling of servant leadership will never leave me. 

Missions Trips: 2015-2017 
  • Honduras - 2015: This was my first trip out of the country and my eyes were open to how blessed I am. We spent time at an orphanage, and saw kids who had joy in Christ in spite of having nothing. 
  • New York City - 2016-2017: I had the opportunity to be involved in street and park evangelism. It was an incredible experience and I was able to lead several kids and teenagers to Christ. 

Summer Counselor: 2018 - 2019    
  • I counseled two summers at the Wilds in North Carolina. This twenty-four seven, one- on-one discipling and counseling were amazing ministry experiences. I personally grew leaps and bounds in my own faith during these two summers. 

Youth Internship:  2019 - 2021     
  • In college, I was able to intern with the Campus Church youth group. This was a great opportunity to see how a large youth program functions. My roles included helping with a small group, skits, and activities. I also led congregational prayer challenges.

Bachelors degree in Pastoral Ministries from Pensacola Christian College: 2017-2021

Pastoral Internship: 2020
  • I did a summer internship at my home church, Trinity Baptist Church in Flushing Michigan. My roles included preaching online and in-person services, planning and directing youth/junior camps and youth activities, and organizing and scheduling speakers for Sunday evenings. 

Assistant Pastor: 2021-2024     
  • First Baptist of Goodrich; Goodrich, MI
  • I served mainly as the youth pastor. This included preaching for Sunday school and Wednesday night messages as well as planning and supervising youth activities. 
  • As assistant pastor I was able to oversee outreach, missions, and many other avenues of ministry. During these years I was able to lead and take missions trips to Mexico, Vermont, Japan, and South Africa. 

Missions Internship: 2025    
  • Served with Colonial Hills Baptist Church alongside their staff. Able to help in the ministries in the church.

Abby's Ministry Experience 
Missionary Kid and Pastor's Kid: 1998-2020
  • Growing up as a missionary kid in Japan and being raised in a pastor's home, I have many memories of what ministry looks like. While in Japan, I had a firsthand knowledge of being a third-culture kid and speaking a different language.  When my parents moved back to the States, my father planted a small church in Vermont.  I have fond memories of setting up and taking down chairs for church each service. I know the Lord allowed these details for us to have the experience to start with a small house church that Lord willing will transition to an independent church building in South Africa some day.
College Opportunities: 2017-2020
  • ​Bible Club Leader:  While at Pensacola Christian College, I was able to help co-lead a Bible Club every Saturday during three of my college years. We went to the underprivileged children in the area and would lead Bible stories, games, and song time. I was able to lead several children to the Lord during these special times.
  • Collegian Chaplain: 2018 
Missions Trips: 2017-2024
  • Zambia, Africa - 2017 - Served on a trip with my church to the Beaman Family.  
  • Puebla, Mexico - 2021, 2022 - Went for a survey trip and then again when my husband lead the missions trip. Ministered with the Taylor Family. 
  • Japan - 2023 - ministered with the Oishi Family 
  • South Africa - 2024 - surveyed three cities and visited several missionaries 
Bachelors in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College: 2016-2020

Christian School Teacher: 2020-2024
  • Taught for four years at two different Christian schools. I was able to teach 3&4 combined classroom, Kindergarten for two years, and then finished with a 1st grade class. 
Church Ministry: 2016-2025
  • Served as a sunday school teacher, helped with several Vacation Bible Schools, and served in the nursery, choir, junior church, and Awana programs in various churches. 
  • Served as a Pastor's wife and helped my husband with the Youth Group for three and a half years.
